Connecting a computer

By default the agent builds on a hosted machine. If you’d rather it build on your own computer — for example to use tools or credentials already set up locally — you can connect one.

Pair a computer

Open Connect a computer from your account menu, install the Ratchet Desktop app, and pair it to your account. Once paired, choose which products it should build for — a single computer can serve more than one product.

What changes once it’s connected

Builds for that product now run on the connected computer instead of a hosted runner. The desktop app lists each connected product with its live status, an “In Progress” section for builds running right now, and a “Recent” section for what it built lately.

If the computer is offline or busy, builds simply wait — nothing is lost, and the board reflects the true state once it reconnects.
